We are owned and operated by a former vet tech, licensed, bonded and insured, members of the Georgia Network of Professional Pet Sitters and PUPS, and we hold ourselves to the standards of PSI, NAPPS, and other professional pet sitting organizations.
Our primary services include pet sitting, horse and farm sitting, overnight visits, dog walking, pet taxi and transport (Local and Nationally). We can also clean your fish tank, help you administer (veterinary prescribed) medication/sq fluids. Expecting a baby? We will come and clean your litter box. Boa Constrictor not eating? We can help you force feed. Pet Nanny to the Rescue also offers obedience and agility training for you and your dog along with Susie Aga and Atlanta Dog Trainer. I am the owner/sitter, Rachel Bortz. Animals have been a lifelong passion for me, and I knew as a young child that I wanted to be surrounded by animals in my everyday life. I began pet sitting in Dunwoody over twelve years ago. I have vast knowledge of animals, and have worked with many species in various industries. I have worked with numerous veterinarians, pet trainers, groomers, farms,and volunteered with many animal rescues, and wildlife rehabilitation centers. Through these opportunities, I have been able to work with all species of animals; from your household pets such as dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, reptiles and small animals, to exotic animals and wildlife. I also spent the better part of my childhood and teen years riding horses and have managed several equestrian centers where I worked with green hunter/jumpers, and also spent several years as the weekend manager at a horse rescue working with abused, elderly, and ill equine and livestock.
My passion for animals is what drives Pet Nanny to the Rescue to provide the best service possible to our clients and their pets. Our clients particularly love that we provide that personal touch and provide such personalized care to their babies.
